Originally from the United States, Derek completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2009 before spending several years teaching English in China. He moved to Perth in 2014 to complete his Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy at Curtin University and has called Western Australia home ever since. Over the past six years, Derek has focused his work within the NDIS space, supporting people of all ages and abilities to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. In 2022, he completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Access Consulting to further strengthen his knowledge in accessibility and inclusive design.
